Historically, Google’s cord-cutting service required you to subscribe to Ballooning – both in terms of price and channels – “Basic Plan”. That’s starting to change, as YouTube TV now offers a separate “Spanish package”.
It is announcement like letting you “Get the best of YouTube TV – with a range of Spanish-only networks.” This includes “more than 28 Spanish networks of live sports, telenovelas, shows, etc.”, as well as unlimited DVR space and six family accounts to share. These two service characteristics remain unchanged.
Spanish Plus costs $34.99 per month, but is currently $10 off for your first six months. The full range is as follows:
beIN SPORTS in Spanish | FOX Sports | classic movie |
Antenna 3 | Cinelatino | FOROTv |
NTN 24 | passions | galavision |
Our television | WAPA America | Telecoup |
TyC Sports | Mexican cinema | Telehit Music |
Discovery in Spanish | Sony Cine | telenovelas |
Family Discovery | TASTEMADE in spanish | UniMas |
Baby TV Spanish | cnn in spanish | university |
ESPN Sports | Bandamax | |
tv star | Of a film |
In comparison, the basic plan includes over 85 channels and costs $64.99. Many add-ons are offered and Spanish Plus is now available with over 25 channels for $14.99/month, although it is currently discounted to $9.99.
Google first hinted at exploring “flexible” unbundling in June 2020 during the last price increase. Hopefully YouTube TV will offer more than the Spanish plan in the future to allow people to upgrade to cheaper tiers. The ideal scenario would be to let each person choose what they want to subscribe to, but the nature of the contacts probably prohibits this.
